Review

You don't get listed as the 6th best movie ever made on IMDb for nothing! The Dark Knight is a super good movie! Oh, and by the way, it really did get listed as the 6th best movie ever made!
The movie is just very entertaining. Lots of times when I watch a movie on DVD, I end up getting bored and switching it to Arrested Development or walking away. I don't know why I do that. I just do! But not this time! I watched The Dark Knight in one sitting and didn't get up even once! That actually makes me quite proud :)!
Okay, so in the first paragraph, it sounded as is I didn't really like it and was just able to sit through it! That couldn't be further from the truth (if that is what you thought). I was on the edge of my seat from the first title to the last credit (well, not exactly. Not many people ((myself included)) get exited about credits). I thought that it was incredibly well done and hats off to Christopher Nolan (the director).
I actually haven't seen Batman Begins but I watched this movie because I (was bored) had seen The Dark Knight Rises and I enjoyed it a lot! I liked The Dark Knight sooooo much better (and I didn't just add more Os to fill up space!)
Oh, and one more thing: I know that the poster above isn't the theatrical poster but I thought it was soooooo much cooler than the one with Batman on the front (again, the Os weren't just to take up space!). And by way, I think the Joker is such a funny character. I know thats like laughing at Voldemort but I can't help it.

Summary

The Dark Knight is a continuation of the Christopher Nolan Batman series christened "The Dark Knight" trilogy. (The name has nothing to do with the movies.) The Dark Knight is the story of eccentric multibillionaire Bruce Wayne who (in the first movie) became Batman and now works to overthrow the evil madman The Joker who is set on tearing the city apart. Wayne is also fighting a loosing battle of lovers: His ex-girlfriend Rachael who is the only person who knows Batman's true identity is in love with Gotham's (the city's) DA, Harvey Dent.

Parental Guidance Information

For those of you who have never been to Flixified before (I know, it seems impossible that their might be someone who doesn't know and love use) or those of you who haven't picked up on this yet (very possible :) ), I typically have three paragraphs in this section: Language, Sex, and Violence/Gore.
As far a language, there is not much language (Neither dirty or clean. It's mostly just explosions and jumping off of buildings in this movie. But, what I meant was dirty language.) There is some minor use of the words shit and/or asshole. Oh, big deal! They said asshole!!!!! Sue them. But, seriously: I think it's mostly okay for little kids in the way of language.
There is not much sex either. There is some kissing and scary flirting, but nothing that won't go right over you little one's heads (why I said little ones and not kids, I've got no clue)
Violence! Dun, Dun, Dun, Dun!!!!! This is why it's rated PG-13 and not PG. Well this and the fact that nobody would want to go to see a rated PG Batman movie! Anyway, there is a lot of people getting blown up, several disturbing scars, disturbing images, and suggested gore! So, in other words, teenagers and adults will love the movie and little kids will not!
Just a recap (I say that in every review): Not much dirty language, not much clean language, not much sex, quite a bit of gore, violence and disturbing scenes and sequences. Some scenes to watch out for are:
  • The scene where we see Harvey Dent's destroyed face (get on edge when Commissioner Gordon comes in to see Dent in the hospital)
  • The scene where the police station gets blown up (get on edge when the people are giving CPR to the criminal.)
  • The first scene (Just a lot of quick killing that might be disturbing. Get on edge when the movie starts)
