Review
Well, um, hmmm, uhhh, snore, boom, snore, abs, snore, fire, destroy, giant ship holding robots, snore, rift, breach, fire, water, save, cliche, love. That just about sums up Pacific Rim!Pacific Rim was incredibly boring for the first hour and a half. Then, things began to pick up. It was one of those movies that tries really hard to be interesting and actionish (not a word, I owe somebody 50 bucks), has a hallmark scene, and then the only action in the whole movie is that one hallmark scene. In other words, it's a sci fi movie! (PS: If you followed that whole paragraph, your a better man/woman then me with following stuff!)
I'll admit, there were some good action scenes. The films main trademark is the giant robot guy holding a ship and walking along a street towards a Kaiju alien dude. That part was, admittedly (oh wait, I already said that) pretty wickedly awesome cool! There were also some other battle scenes that were cool too! However, most of the movie was.... oh, sorry, I fell asleep just talking about it!
The main reason that I wanted to see this movie was because of it's soundtrack. The soundtrack in the trailers was pretty effing awesome! However, the cool music/sound effects from the trailer WERE NOT IN THE MOVIE! What a let down.
All in all, I'd say this movie is a waste of a good 5 bucks. The poster is pretty cool though! If it ever goes to Netlflix, watch the last hour. If you've seen pretty much any other dramatic sci fi movie, you'll be able to fill in what you've missed!
Summary
Pacific Rim is the story of Ralley (sorry buddy, don't know how to spell your name and too lazy to look it up!), Jaeger pilot who's mind is synced with his other half, the other pilot who helps him drive the Jaeger (the Jaeger are these giant robots that are piloted by two people. They were made in order to stop the killer Kaiju aliens!) It's all very confusing!
