Dolls, Clowns, Squirrels, Cats, and a bunch of other things we really shouldn't be scared of!!! Modern Horror Movies!

Unfortunately, most kids probably recognize the reference above as well as adults. Because, when you stick a dolls face on the front of a movie poster, you're going to attract parents who get the movie rental quickly without looking twice and then leave it with the babysitter. However, I've got to say that the babysitter who lets the kids watch that movie is a pretty moronic au pair.

This movie is Child's Play. It is about a serial killer by the name of Charles Lee Ray who is mortally wounded in a police shoot out. Somehow, I'm not really sure how, he transfers is soul into a doll by the name of Chucky. Chucky begins killing people in secret by night while belonging to a young boy named Andy by day. However, as Lee Ray wants to become human again, he needs to transfer his soul into something human. This puts Andy in mortal peril!!!!
So, why does Hollywood have such a fascination in making us scared of things that aren't scary. It's not only Chucky. What about Captain Spaulding and Horny The Clown? Why does Hollywood want us to be so incredibly scared of everything?
And dolls and clowns aren't all either. What is the  deal with zombies? They wouldn't be able to do anything if they were real!!!!! Reanimated corpses would only be able to walk around bumping into things. They couldn't actually kill humans because THEY DON'T HAVE BRAINS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!! There is also an indie film coming out soon about man eating Squirrels. Who on gods green earth is afraid of squirrels? Well, my guess is a lot more of us will be after 2014's newest screwed up horror flick!
Why do you think Hollywood has such an obsession with scaring us with benevolent things? Comment on this post or share it with Flixified on Google+!
