5 Ways to watch movies like it's the 21st century

Yes, I am aware that you probably know about at least some of these tools. However, I am doing this review for those of you who don't know about them. For those of you who do, I suggest continuing on to the next review. You can find more at www.flixified.com.

5: Netflix

Netflix started out as just another video rental service. You could get movies shipped to you from a Netflix HQ and watch them at home before sending them back. However, they now have an online streaming tool that goes with it that has a lot of movies and tv. They get mostly the bad movies and tv but its a monthly price and there is some good stuff. Netflix is also starting to make their own tv shows that air only on Netflix.

4: Watch ABC

Even though they don't offer movies, I thought this would be a good tool to list. Watch ABC is offered at watchabc.go.com and is a list of the newest episodes of all ABC shows. You can get it free anywhere in the USA. It has only about three or four episodes of one show at a time but thats more than you can watch free anywhere else. There are quite a few ads on the site and they will show you 4 ads at a time at intervals of every 10 minutes or something like that. You cannot skip over the ads but still, it's a really great deal.

3: Itunes

I don't know how everyone else feels but I feel like we're all so caught up in these new fancy softwares to think about the good old Itunes store! Itunes store may still be pay per purchase but they have literally everything you could want. Sometimes they even get movies before they come out on dvd and a lot while their still in theaters. Itunes also has the option to watch in SD which is always cheaper than the HD. Also, when you buy a movie, tv show, or podcast on Itunes, you own it and Itunes can't take it away from you. You can also watch it where there is no wi-fi (like: an airport). If you get Apple TV, you can stream your Itunes movies directly to your tv.

2: HULU+

I personally don't have a HULU plus account but I have watched things from HULU+ before and I've got to say: Even though at first I thought it was not a good selection, I was actually able to find some fun stuff to watch. Oh, and side note, I did watch HULU plus legally. HULU+ does cost more money than HULU itself but it's worth it as the HULU free version does have a horrible selection. I don't think that there is a very large selection of popularly held as good movies on HULU plus but me and the world have different ideas of what is a good movie. For instance, I liked Battleship (they have it on HULU plus) and Oblivion even though most people didn't.

1: Redbox

Okay, so when I first heard of Redbox, I was like "oh great, another service that costs more than Itunes, that you have to figure out how to work your actual DVD player to use (that was a joke! I know how to operate a DVD player) and that takes longer to get." However, Redbox has actually good movies and it is super duper cheap ($1.20 a movie). For those of you who don't know, Redbox is a vending machine for movies. You reserve a movie at redbox.com and then go down to your Redbox and swipe the credit card you used to rent the movie (Be very careful you bring the same credit card. Last night I accidentally picked up the wrong movie cause I brought down the wrong card. I still got charged for both movies though.) They will then give you a DVD which you can go watch for like a week or something. The great thing about Redbox is that you can return any Redbox movie you take out anywhere in the country. So if your on a car trip, you can take out HP7P2 in Boston and return it the next night in LA (not that you could make it to LA from Boston in one night, it's just an example.)
